There are many ways to donate to the Library:
Monetary Donations
Monetary donations are always welcome and appreciated. Funds can be donated to the Library’s general operations or designated for a particular area of interest. Donations of $100 or more are acknowledged with a gold plaque on the library’s Support Column. Please make checks payable to the Raynham Public Library. Funds donated to the Library are used to support:
- Technology Development
- Children’s Services
- Programs and Educational Outreach
- General Library Services
Book Donations
Periodically we accept gently used books, DVDs, and compact discs for re-sale in our Bookstore and Friends semi-annual book sales. We ask that your donations be clean and in good condition. Please call the library before bringing books to donate. We cannot sell books that are:
- dirty
- moldy
- highlighted or underlined
- water-stained, yellowed or brittle
- outdated
- textbooks, dictionaries or encyclopedias
- very dog-eared
We must throw away books that we cannot sell and this consumes much volunteer labor. So, before donating, please ask yourself, “Would I buy this book?”
Memorial Donations
We invite you to consider making a donation for a memorial book to honor a friend or family member. A plate is placed in the book recognizing the honoree and the donor. Please make checks payable to the Raynham Public Library. Click here to access the online form. If the gift is $100 or more, we place a plaque on our Library Support Column.
Donating Your Time
Consider joining the Friends of the Library. This organization works to support the library through fundraising, publicity and advocacy. They sponsor a community-wide read in the spring, book sales in the fall and spring, as well as other projects throughout the year.
